We are absolutely thrilled with our patio and front walk designed and installed by Elite Landscapes and Pavers. Rich Castaldi and his team designed something unique and beautiful and the plantings and placement look great even in the winter.

When my family and I decided to move forward with our large backyard project – pool, patio, fire pit, pavilion, and landscaping – I began looking at multiple contractors. Knowing how critical the construction of the pool is for a project like this, we targeted the big names in the industry. We contacted Elite when we saw the work they did for another house in our area. I am a person who performs A LOT of research when making big decisions. Needless to say, I did my homework when it came to landing on a contractor for our project. I spent time meeting with clients of other contractors to get feedback on their experience throughout the process as well as the quality, craftsmanship, and integrity of the contractors. Everyone I met with had at least one horror story about their experience. Regardless of how well the project may have turned out, there was always something along the process that caused headaches – delays in construction, broken underground pipe, site not built to specs, wrong tiles ordered…you name it. I prepared myself for the same. I am not exaggerating when I say, this was not the case with Elite.
We were immediately impressed during the initial design meeting with Rich Castaldi. Rich was able to take our vision and ideas and turn it into a very impressive design. From the initial design meeting to the turnover meeting at the end of the project, it was a delightful experience. Elite spearheaded the work of all other contractors or services needed for the job, serving as our single point of contact. EVERY team assigned to our project were experts in their craft; extremely professional and accommodating. Elite’s emphasis on the customer and customer satisfaction was evident throughout the process.
The project was on budget and on schedule, despite the unpredictable New Jersey weather. There were no surprise costs. What we agreed upon in the contract was what was delivered. The only change orders or added costs came as a result of us wanting more added to the job.
When I share my experience with others who have gone through similar projects, they are amazed especially as some are still dealing with issues surfacing post projects with other companies.
I have read the one negative review on this site and the response from Elite and have to agree that it may have been a misdirected review. Based on my experience with Elite and Rich Castaldi, they would not let a “screwed up driveway” devalue the Elite brand. We started with an EP Henry Devonshire backyard raised patio and walkway from the side of the home to the patio in year one and then continued to around the pool with walkway to the pool in year two. We recently had our patio and hardscape done by Elite and we can’t express enough the professionalism Rich and his men give to their clients. It’s safe to say that our backyard was just a typical yard before Rich got a hold of it, but boy has that changed. The end result has been a dream come true for our family.

I must admit at first I was a bit nervous to undergo such a large project since I had such high expectations of how I wanted it to look, but meeting with Rich put my mind at ease once I saw his potential design ideas, his knowledge in products, his attention to small detail , his 3D designs and his passion for all his work, that’s when I knew Elite would be the company to do our job.

Once they began construction, not a day of work was missed. Rich and his men were always punctual and did not leave until the job was complete for the day and the job site was cleaned. His crew was hard-working and took pride in their job. Rich’s customer service is by far the best we have ever received from any company. Rich was a pleasure to work with, he was very polite, helpful, understanding and answered any concern we had about our project. We can’t say enough about Rich and team. We had tight/awkward space, some existing patio, and a budget. Our pool/patio are is now magazine worthy! Not only that, from meeting #1 to completion, every call was returned, and every questions was answered. We deal with many contractors and by far, Elite ranks on top as most professional/easiest to work with.

Extremely professional service from start to finish. We were amazed with the 3-D presentation that incorporated a virtual representation of our project (to scale) and how close the final product resembled it upon completion. Our two-tiered patio (with a daunting 12 foot upper tier) has become a popular second living space for the entire family. Rich Castaldi was responsive to changes we made before and during the course of our installation, worked creatively to meet our budget, was always available via cell/email/text on a same-day basis and had an impeccable attention to detail. We also appreciated having only point of contact with the company for everything from irrigation to hardscaping. We hired Elite to do a stone mailbox for the front of our home. Although the job was small, Elite came right out, discussed options with us and the outcome was great. We met with all the area companies and were glad to finally come across a company that was professional and we could feel safe spending our money with.
